Thank you for sharing this perspective on work. I agree about fractional work becoming the standard especially for senior level leaders and practitioners. I do believe that CEOS will need to understand what that means and workplace culture will evolve dramatically. Also, the implications for learning and development take on a whole new dimension. The soft skills will become elevated and learning on the job will become more challenging with time. The AI agents can't teach compassion or empathy and irrational behavior will be a response to the cold process of algorithms until CEOs provide of vision of work that appreciates humans in the loop.

Great piece Rishad and very helpful as everyone watches the world of work evolve. One question I have had is why don’t we see as much of the job elimination/dislocation outside of the states? Is it just weaker job protections and over hiring stateside? Do we expect to see global conglomerates unload employees at the same rates as West Coast tech?
