Was on vacation. I lived the sentence you mentioned here. “The ordinary becoming extra-ordinary”. The only way to remember something on a vacation is not the camera is what you seek to remember yourself and put yourself in the state od rememberance.

Often as we are preoccupied with what should or could have happened and uncertainties of what lies ahead, we miss the opportunity to pay attention and enjoy what Rishad has wisely declared "extra-ordinary" moments that we may never be able to experience again.

Thank you Rishad for all the wise advice, I am lucky enough to have a place in Drome provencale in the south of France where only natural sounds can distract us. I love to contemplate the natural environment around the house and pay attention to each bird song...

Please say hello to Gillian Tett: the first time I met her she was the FT Tokyo bureau chief and I had just started as CEO of the FT, twenty years ago...
