It’s very AA. By that I mean that it depicts the program and its pursuit of its principles. Watched it a few weeks ago and I still have been revisiting it in my head daily.

Looking forward to discussing in our next chat. Curious to see the narratives you came up with about what happened to the family and the relationship with the bar owner. The scene by the river felt very much like a relapse to me.

Thank you Rishad for this fantastic article. I am a movie lover and will watch this this week. I saw excerpts at the theatre and could see its beauty. Michael Kahn

I read this blog close to a year ago and it has really stayed with me. A new coworker shared that she recently read a book called Stoner by John Williams which tells the life story of one man. It quietly portrays a life that doesn’t unfold the way its protagonist might have hoped, yet still finds meaning in the small, everyday moments. The book beautifully captures the idea that life isn’t always about grand outcomes. It’s about showing up, doing your best, and learning to let go of what you can’t control.

Reading her post immediately brought your blog to the front of my mind. I dove back into it today and it was wonderful all over again. Thank you for sharing, illuminating, and helping me have a lens to better understand the art and beauty in this work.
